The Farm

Hey guys! Thanks for being here! I’m Sarah and I’m hoping you’ll hang out with me for a bit while I chat a little about me, my family, and our farm. So kick back, relax, sip on your favorite beverage and let’s get to know each other.

I come from a long line of family farmers in Maine. My mom and dad both grew up in 4-H showing cattle from their family’s farm – so no surprise that my brother, sister, and I did too! We loved every minute of it, made lifelong friendships with other farm kids from around the state, and learned Oh So Much!!!! Growing up we were allowed to bring home just about any animal we wanted – except goats, go figure. There was always this unspoken rule, we never asked why, we didn’t really care, we just didn’t bring home goats!

So we grew up, moved away (you know – to a chunk of land from the family farm) raised families, smiled a lot of smiles, cried a lot of tears, and stayed close to Jesus through it all.

My super cool, amazing husband, Matt, also grew up in a family that farmed, raised their own food, and had a healthy respect for the animals and the land. So at 40 something, when he said “hey let’s start a farm”  I said “heck, yeah”!  and he said “let’s get goats” Go figure…  Who knew goats could be so much fun – have such huge personalities – and be so cool? Apparently he did!

So started our love for goats, and goat milk soap! We’d been using goat milk soap for a few years and found it to be much better then commercial soaps, but still lacking all the qualities we wanted. So after taking some classes, doing a boat load of research, and doing a lot of self- testing, we came up with our own luxuriously moisturizing goat milk soap recipe – and we loved it! My “Ah-Ha” moment came lying in bed, rubbing my legs together – NEVER have they EVER been so soft and silky! And this was without lotion! We did it! We have arrived!

We believe God has put lots of nourishing plant- based goodness at our disposal to enrich our lives, including our skin – and we want to take full advantage of it! Using simple, effective, environmentally safe, and skin-loving ingredients is what we’re all about. We also believe in protecting habitats, and animals around the world, which is why we do not use Palm Oil in our products.

Your skin is important, it’s tough as nails defending your body from the harshness of this world, and also delicate and beautiful – take great care! And find your “Ah-Ha” moment of soft, silky, clear skin!
